Hi All,

Can anyone tell me why, even though I see a connection to my D810, there is no data in the Tethered Capture window and no images appear when I shoot! iMac all up to date with Sierra. Should I just go back to Capture One?

Yes, I have been through ALL of the Adobe help files. Do you know this
problem or have a suggested fix?

I suppose thats an option but not ideal . . .

You may have to use the LR Auto-Import feature and have the software use a watched folder.

Does that help or suit your needs?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've decided that CaptureOne's
straightforward, plug and play software is so much less frustrating and
actually a better product. Thanks anyway.

So sad that Adobe, as resource rich and with intelligent pockets of
excellence in their org, cant figure out how a person can connect a great
usb cord to a fantastic iMac and Nikon D810, simply to have a successful
tethered session. Anybody there listening? Take a clue from CaptureOne!
Lightroom>Computer>Cord>Camera. Think about it. Im certainly weary of
trying to think about it for you.
Good luck.

One of the issues with LR CC V9 is that Nikon cameras have to be turned on first before starting the tethered shooting operation. Were you doing that?

Yes. I tried all combinations including those on the Adobe site. Lightroom
sees my camera, as if connected, but doesnt capture the shot.

I just ran more extensive tests with my D850 and D500 on my new MBP 16 and my home built high spec PC. Both running LR CL V 9:

Win 10, 1909 , Tether Tools USB 3 cable. All tether functions work correctly.

MBP 16, Catalina OSX 10.15.1, Tether Tools USB 3 cable connected through Apple USB A to C adapter. All tether functions work correctly.

For what it's worth, you won't see any image until you trip the camera shutter, either with the button on the camera or the on screen button. LR CL does not have live view in tethering.
