Just updated my Lightroom Classic on a Windows 10 PC

It requires me to update thecatalog every time I run the program.

Any fix?

You are opening the wrong catalog. You are trying to open the Lightroom Classic 9.4 catalog each time, instead of trying to open the Lightroom Classic 10.0 catalog.

There is an option in Preferences/General which specifies which catalog to open. You need to change that setting so that you are now trying to open the Lightroom Classic 10.0 catalog each time.

Yup: alternatively, if you are starting up LrC by double-clicking on the Catalog itself, you would need to double-click on the converted new Catalog copy hereafter, instead of continuing to open the unconverted old version.

Over time, one may accumulate multiple redundant older-version copies for the same Catalog, besides the latest one that is used by current software. These older version Catalog files can be safely cleared off your working drive (good idea to keep an archive copy for safety) o

Over time, one may accumulate multiple redundant older-version copies for the same Catalog, besides the latest one that is used by current software. These older version Catalog files can be safely cleared off your working drive (good idea to keep an archive copy for safety) once you are confident everything is working as it should within the new software version. However, note that if you have had LR set to "store presets with Catalog" (this is not the default) - there may be presets alongside the older Catalog version that you want to employ with the current version one. So that data may need to be moved into the corresponding relation / subfolder naming to suit the new Catalog's own name. Then LrC closed and restarted in order to re-scan the presence of these presets. This is not necessary if the "store presets with Catalog" option was not checked - in that case presets are accessed from a central location that will continue the same regardless of Catalog naming becoming different in the course of a version upgrade.
