Lightroom won't connect with the server at all and won't validate Gmail

I've looked here before and on the web. I've tried everything to set up Gmail from Lightroom. it used to work no problem. Now not matter what I do it won't work. I've tried using the app password generated from google and my own password. Lightroom won't connect with the server at all and won't validate. I am getting frustrated.

Which version of Lightroom are you using and what is your operating system?

You may have to modify your Google settings and allow access with lower security.
