Ligthroom 10.2 (iOS 11.2) map is offline

I have purchased lightroom Classic 10.2 for Mac (iOS 11.2 Big Sur) and everything works very well, however the map section isn't functional. The lightroom Classic software s up to date, but I receive the message 'map is offline' without any option to fix it. Are there any thoughts or links, which I have missed?

Could be a problem on the Google map servers. I am not having this problem at this time.

Also, try rebooting your computer.

Also, try resetting your preferences.

Unfortunately both options computer reboot and resetting the preferences did not change anything. The map is still offline with a loading symbol! 😞

Which country are you in? The maps sometimes don't work due to some countries having a firewall that blocks the google map API. I believe Turkey, China, Egypt and others fall under this. Even if you're not in a country like that, your firewall might be blocking.
