On my work install of LR Classic (9.1) on a Mac (iMac Retina 5K, 27" with 16gb ram), the app keeps crashing when I start it up - just after the splash screen. I uninstalled, then re-installed - but the same thing happens. Error log (first part) follows. My other CC apps seem to work fine.

Hi there,

Sorry that Lightroom Classic 9.1 crashes just after the app starts. That is not a usual experience, let us help make this right.

As Lightroom Classic is crashing just after the Splash screen appears, would you mind closing the app, signing out of the Creative Cloud desktop app, signing back in and then try using the app?

If that does not help, here is an article to start with next steps of troubleshooting: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-basic-troubleshooting-fix-most-issues.html

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Akash

I closed the app (can't even open it anyway), signed out of CC, signed in again.

Same thing happens - crash with splash screen..

I've looked at the suggestions on the trouble shooting page. My Mac OS system is up to date. I reset the prefs on LR (shift option on boot up), no change.

The others are irrelevant, except perhaps plugins. Can't manage plugins from with in the app, because I can't open the app. Maybe have to manually move them from the folder.

My home imac doesn't have these issues - i think same plugins.

Any update to a fix on this ?

I have tried exactly what you said Curt but no fix.

If you are looking for the Plugins folder you can manage them outside of the app also.

On Mac - option + click Lightroom in your application folder and select Show Package Contents.

Plugins folder will be located there

The relelvant plugins are NOT inside the Application Package on the Mac.  They are in the User Library.  If you have deleted anything out of the Package maybe thats why your Lightroom won't start.
