LR doesn't stack JPG and RAW anymore

Hey Folks, 

i shoot in jpeg+raw.

despite having the option "treat jpg and raw as different files" * turned OFF, my lightroom keeps showing me my jpgs and raws from the same foto next to each other so i see every picture twice in the catalogue. Is that a bug or is there anything i can do about that?

(*i dont know if that is actually the correct english title of that option because i have my lightroom set to my native language german. In german it says "JPEG-Dateien neben RAW-Dateien als seperate Fotos behandeln".)

Try resetting LR's preferences:

LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.
