LR is ejecting external media

I keep my LR catalogue (also backed up elsewhere) on an external Raid Drive.

If I leave LR open when I'm not working in it, it ejects the disc (which the disc doesn't like much).

I've boiled it down to LR by making sure no other programs are running. I have replaced the cables to the drive in case it was that, and alternated the port.

Has anyone else had this happen and any ideas of a resolution?

Many thanks.

Running LR Classic V9.1 on macOS Mojave 10.14.6.

Did this just start happening? The only time Lightroom will eject anything is a camera card upon completion of an import and the option needs to be ticked on. Do you have a sleep mode on your RAID? Is your computer always connected to your RAID?

Does this occur during an import?

Or a sync (as an import)
