LRC hanging up on iMac

I installed the latest LRC upgrades a couple weeks ago, and today (Nov. 1) was doing first serious edit on my iMac (Quad-Core Intel Core i5, 3.8 GHz, 16 GB ram), and LRC kept hanging up. A couple times after the system froze it rebooted by itself. Once I had to shut it down and reboot it myself. I didn't lose any edits, but this was obviously not good. Anyone else having issues? I tried to engage Adobe support online through the chat function, but after nearly an hour, they were apparently too busy too connect. Interestingly, my CleanMyMac software triggered a "running low on RAM" message during the edit and suggested I close other programs, but other than a Chrome browser that was open, which I closed, I didn't have otherr programs open. And 16GB of ram should be more than adequate to run LRC. Thanks for any input.

Would it be practical for you to revert to an earlier version through the Creative Cloud app, and test that for a while?

Thanks. I will try resetting presets first to see if that corrects the problem.

When LR (or Photoshop) crashes like this, best to reset preferences:

Might fix the issue.
