So, is this a subscription copy of Adobe Lightroom Classic? Did you pay for a Plan?

If so, did you download and install the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App?

https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/desktop-app.html

That little app should be running. Bring it up.

Are you signed in? Signing in activates the applications like PS, LR, LrC, etc. Signing out deactivates them. Do not sign out.

The Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App is key, it accomplishes (at least)

  • Installation if applications
  • Update of applications
  • Activation of applications (sign in)
  • Deactivation if applications (sign out)
  • Authentication of licence
  • Accredidation of license
  • Simple uninstall of applications.

Unlike old stand alone Lightroom, do not login to the LrC applicaton, do not logout thru LrC either. That is done thru the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App, but do not sign out anyhow.
