LrC very slow and sluggish (Branched from old thread)

12-core thread-ripper, GTX 10180, 64 GB of fast RAM, SSD, and Lightroom takes 5 seconds to switch between images, 10 seconds to bring up the settings dialogue. It is comically slow. CaptureOne, in comparison, performs most actions instantly.

Lots of good suggestions? No, not at all. I've come to agree with the prevailing conclusion that no amount of money can buy you a fast Lightroom and made the switch to CaptureOne.
