Making local adjustments in lightroom

Hi, question about making local adjustments in Lightroom. So I have turned my picture into black and white, and used the black and white mix to lighten the oranges (or what were oranges before I turned the picture into mono obviously). But there is one part of the picture where I would like to darken the oranges again. How can I do this? When I turn on the adjuststment brush it doesn't seem to give me the option of using the black and white mix. Thanks for any help with this...

The adjustment brush does not contain the B&W mix, so you will have to brush in an exposure adjustment manually.

You might want to consider DxO NIK, specifically the SilverEffex Pro, for black and white editing. Third party plugin, you export the photo, then work B&W magic on it.
