bonjour,

One thing to clarify, as this term gets confused a bit
Teathering
Do you mean connecting the camera to a computer during a shooting sesson as to see the photos on your computers screen?
Or do you mean, connecting the camera later, via USB cable to copy the photos from the nemory card to the computer?
The former is teathering, the later is not.
For teathering, one likely requirement for Canon, is to have a card in the camera. With LRC v9.2, I thought this was supposed to work (at least on Windows computers) but, I do not have that camera.
For just connecting, to treat the cameraa as a card reader, as you have LRC 9.2, that should work.
Note, check your in camera settings for connection settings, may be seperate options for connecting via USB, acting as a card reader, than for teathering.

At this time, Lightroom-Classic does not support the 1Dx m3 for tethering. (It may come soon)
A work-around might be to use the Canon EOS Utility and set LR-Classic to 'Auto-Import' from the folder where EOS Utility placed the files.
