Moving LR to new computer

Today LR is install on drive C and the photos are store on drive D.

I am planning to buy a new laptop but not sure if I will have C or C & D.

I assume with C&D it will be easy to move LR to the new laptop but if I will have only C, what should I need to do with the catalog file ?

Follow these instructions exactly. Do not skip steps (unless they clearly don't apply), do not add your own steps, and do not import photos into Lightroom Classic on the new computer — for emphasis, FOLLOW ALL THE STEPS, DO NOT MAKE UP YOUR OWN STEPS, DO NOT IMPORT PHOTOS on the new computer.
