My Lr 5.7 work better than LrC 9.3

I switched from using a purchased copy of Lr 5.7 to the subscription LrC 9.3. My 5.7 worked perfectly. The LrC 9.3 works like crap. It's constantly freezing, runs super slow and is absolutely frustating!  I have the same presets and brushes in both programs. My Photoshop subscription works fine. I only have about 200 images in LrC at the moment. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Or does anyone know how to get LrC to run more smootly? Any help would be wonderful!!! I'm about ready to cancel my subscription and just work with my Lr 5.7.

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue. 

Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.

If Lightroom doesn't start correctly the please see "Solution 2" in the document behind the second link. 

 

Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

If this doesn't help we need more informations about your environment. 

  • Which hardware do you use?
  • How many free disk space do you have? 
  • Which operating system do you use? 
  • Which version of Lightroom do you use? 

Please post the exact version and not only phrases as "recent", "latest" and so on. 

 

Do you get error messages? If yes, please post the exact message or an screenshot.
