Nikon Z7 autofocus not working while tethering - Lightroom Classic 8.3.1 on macOS 10.15.3

Hi,

I have a issue with my nikon Z7 while tethering. When I shoot from the computer, the camera shoot but do not autofocus, if I shoot straight from the camera autofocus works perfect.

I try with other applications as Capture One (on live view mode, than press focus and than shoot) and Nikon Camera Control Pro 2 (same as Capture One).

I'm using MacOS Mojave 10.15.3, LR Classic 8.3.1 and Camera Raw 11.3, camera firmware are updated (2.0).

Any one had the same issue?

Are getting tethered focus lock using Capture 1 and Control Pro?

@Tony_See didn't work for me, still not working autofocus while shooting on the computer throw LR Classic. The camera even try to focus, just shoot.

On Capture One and Control Pro I have to use Live view.

That shouldn't be happening, let's make it right.

As the auto-focus is not working while tethering, could you please share Lightroom Classic's Help>System Info dialog text here? As it would be helpful for us to troubleshoot further.

Could you try resetting the preferences of Lightroom and let us know if it helps? How to set Lightroom Classic preferences

Just a long shot, could you check if the Camera or the Lens is locked to Manual focus by any chance?

Also, I see that you're working on the beta version of macOS Catalina 10.15.3, our apps are not tested on beta operating systems and that might be the reason for this issue. You should try downgrading your OS to Mojave.

The Autofocus works when I shoot from the camera, but do not work when I shoot from the computer (trigger capture on LR).

Sorry, my mistake, I'm using 10.14.5. I have no idea where I came from with Catalina Version.

You are resurrecting a thread that is two years old, are you using the same Operating System on your Computer and the same LrC version? Why do you saying you have the same issue.
Please provide the info as it relates to your issue.
