We need more informations about your system and please described your problem more detailed.

Without  these informations we can't help.

On suspicion, I suspect that your camera's RAW files are not supported by Lightroom.

Here you'll find more infos about which LR version you need to support your RAW files.

Cameras supported by Camera Raw (adobe.com)

If this right you have to install the latest LR version or you have to convert your RAW files to the DNG format using the Adobe Digital Negative Converter or the tool that was delivered with your camera.

Use the Free Adobe DNG converter program to convert the RAW files to DNG files and then you can import them into your older version of LrC on your older computer that does not meet the specs for the newer version of LrC.
