When trying to open PS from a LR smart collection I right click a file in a specfic collection and the drop down is greyed out.

It only happens with one collection, tPS opens OK in the other collections

I have LR Classic and PS CC 2018 updated

Any ideas?
Cheers

Jackoe

This has probably nothing to do with the smart collection, but with the images that the smart collection shows. Are you sure that the originals are available? Maybe they are not and you only have smart previews (maybe that is what the smart collection searches for)? You cannot send a smart preview to edit in Photoshop.

Thanks Johan, I appreciate your help. I've had a lot of problems with my library recently and believe you could be correct.

All Collections are just Lists of image names and all Smart collection are the same and what they really are is persistent, never changing, Filters.

So your problem as stated in the above post is not with the collection or Smart Collection but with the images that are listed in that SC.

Need to see a screen shot of the FULL Library window with that collection selected and in the Grid view.
