OS X Spaces - switches to a different space randomly

So, I have a problem that seems to be non-unique - I have Lightroom Classic in one Desktop under Spaces... and randomly, it switches to another Desktop on me, and I have to switch back to where I was. It most consistently happens when I switch between Develop and Library, whether by keystroke or using the menu. It borders on the maddening. I am pretty sure I am not the only one... anybody have a fix, or a hope that Adobe might have one in mind?

Adobe acknowledged this bug a year ago:

https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lr-classic-cc-8-2-on-mac-spaces-changes-sudde...

Please add your constructive opinion to the bug report, and be sure to click Me Too and Follow in the upper-right corner. That will make it a little more likely that Adobe will prioritize a fix, and you'll be notified when the bug's status changes.

I haven't seen any workarounds published, unfortunately.

Have you tried contacting Adobe Support for this issue?

I know that is probably not that helpful to you but unfortunately John Rellis has posted the most valid "help" we can offer ATM.
