Panoramic merge of pictures results in incorrect exposure and lack of contrast and saturation when not all pictures are taken with the same ND filter settings. With ND filter set to automatic on a SonyRX100-III, the first attached image (DSC01692) was taken with deactivated ND filter, and the other two images had the ND filter (automatically) activated, and the exposure time was extended by a factor of 8. Althoug all images are correctly exposed, Lightroom gets confused by the different exposure times, and the resulting panoramic image has weird contrast and saturation.
When setting ND filter to manual as a workaround, Lightroom Classic panoramic merge works as expected.

I'm not sure whether it will make a difference in your situation, but sometimes when LR gets confused in creating a pano, I have simplified the processing by merging just 2 images, then merge the 3rd image to that one, etc.
Also unclick "Auto Settings" in the photo merge dialog box; then you can apply your edits after the merge.

Yes, this has helped in other cases, where LR seems not to be able to merge. But in this case, the pano *is* created, but has weird contrast and saturation, even when merging only 2 images.

This problem was reported to Adobe a couple years ago:
Please add details of your issue to the bug report, and be sure to click Like and Follow at the bottom of the first post. That will make it a little more likely Adobe will prioritize a fix, and you'll be notified when the bug's status changes.
There are two workarounds:
1. Do the merge in Photoshop via Photo > Edit In > Merge To Panorama In Photoshop.
2. Use the Lenstagger plugin to change the shutterspeeds of the photos with the ND filter applied. Do Metadata > Read Metadata From File and restart LR (essential). Then do Photo > Photo Merge.

Thank you for the workaround. I'v added a comment/reference to your bug report and also made the full size example files available at https://1drv.ms/u/s!Am5b14taaIpoxAS_b-E2kdw1UcOl?e=zLqAkw
