Running Lightroom Classic on my MacBook Pro, and I've made the unfortunate mistake of importing most of my photos to the external, but a fair number to my hard drive. I noticed my mistake when I went to my photography class, plugged my external into their desktop, and hundreds of photos were missing. Cue the lurching stomach and racing heartbeat!

Is there an easy way to determine which photos need to be copied to the external, or am I in for a slog?

See www.computer-darkroom.com/lr2_find_folder/find-folder.htm

Part 2 of that document indicates how to copy photos to the external drive. You can identify the photos that need to be moved in the Lightroom Classic Folder panel, they will be shown as on your internal drive and each folder should have a question mark icon.
