Photoshop files not updating in Lightroom

Hi. Often I edit an image in Lr then edit in Ps and then finally tweak back in Lr before exporting. Often i'll go back to the Ps file and edit further but the edits do not always automatically update in Lr. Is there some way to update manually? Thank you

Is your original photo RAW or DNG or JPEG?

RAW and DNG route to PS similar, JPEG to PS very different, effects inquiry's.

So, after the photo is back in LrC from PS (via edit in Photoshop, I assume) you wind up with a new photo, perhaps TIFF, perhaps PSD.

Then if you want that new photo to be Edited in PS, you should get an inquiry as to edit copy, original, erc..
