Applying certain presets turns my image to black and white.
Though the presets are not greyed out and italic, (indicating raw files required.), These presets work fine with RAW files.
Plus, changing vibrance to positive value and clarity to negative makes it work fine.
I tried the preset with photoshop camera raw settings and they work fine there.
I have attached The preset, so you can check.

The first thing that you should try is to switch off the GPU support from the Lightroom preferences and check if that helps to fix the issue.
Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor" > Restart Lightroom.
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html#troubleshooting
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/kb/troubleshoot-gpu.html
Another step is to try to reset the Lightroom preferences.

As far as I see you are working with Lightroom Lightroom Classic 9.0. This is an old version and normally the .0 versions have several bugs. So I recommend you should update to the newest version of Lightroom (version 10.1.1) or at least the latest version of Lightroom 9, version 9.4.

I didn't get to tey the above stated methods. I simply updated my lightroom and everything works great now.
Is there a possibility that presets created with newer versions of lightroom wouldn't be supported on previous versions?

I'm not able to reproduce that behavior in my LR 10.1.1. When I apply the preset to a JPEG, it doesn't turn monochrome. Does this occur with just this JPEG or all JEPGs?
I agree with Axel's recommended steps, and I suggest one more:
- Do Preferences > Performance > Camera Raw Cache Settings > Purge Cache.

Hey,
It turned all JPEGs to monochrome. However updating my lightroom and camera raw fixed it.
Thank You.

"Is there a possibility that presets created with newer versions of lightroom wouldn't be supported on previous versions?"
It's possible, though I haven't seen that before. Usually, if there are settings from a newer version of LR that an older version doesn't recognize, the older version just ignores it.
