Problem with Lightroom Classic sync from the cloud (large amount of images)

1. I have moved all my photos to the cloud (using the new Lightroom CC as suggested by the marketing messages)
2. I tried to work using Lightroom CC but it has limited functionallity comparing to the classic version. Personally I prefer old good classic version and would love to switch back.
3. I try to sync back all my cloud images to the classic version
4. I have over **38 000 images** in the cloud. Unfortunately after syncing about 2400 images the **process stops** 😞 Lightroom is saying it's syncing but it's not - the number of synced images is not changing at all.
5. It’s really urgent issue for me
6. I’m using Mac OS

When you 'moved' to Lightroom (cloud) what did you do with your Lightroom Classic catalog? Is it still accessible to you?
