Problems with the SHIFT key combined with other keys

From the update of Lightroom to version 9, the behavior of the SHIFT key in combination with the punctuation keys (stars) and color of the photographs, as well as some others (B, for example) is just the opposite of what it was so far and that is as it says in the documentation. For example, the "1" key currently scores with 1 star and passes to the next photo, instead of staying in it. However, with Shift- "1", rate 1 star and stay in it, instead of moving to the next one.

It's a bug or the documentatios is wrong now?

I have Catalina (10.15.3)

Two possibilities that would cause this behavior:

1. You have Caps Lock (shift lock) on the keyboard.

2. The menu command Photo > Auto Advance is checked.

What language keyboard are you using? There has been problems with German keyboards, IIRC.

Thank you, John. Is the second one.

I didn't know that menu option. I'm sorry.

Glad it was easy to resolve. LR has lots of obscure gotchas like that.
