Firstly- apologies if this is not a new query. I have tried to search and not found this particular question. If it has been asked/answered please reply with a link.
Scenario - I work in Lightroom Classic from two catalogs: personal and professional. I also muck about with Lightroom on my android phone. I want to share a collection from my professional catalog. A video or two that I've found suggested that sync-ing a collection was a great way to share images with clients.
What the videos do not show, is that all the images that are in your lightroom.adobe.com account will get synced INTO your current catalog.
Ideally, I'd like to share collections from both my catalogs (personal shots with family, portraits with clients). I have thought of exporting the collections from classic and importing them into cc. But this seems a bit tautological.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Any originals in the cloud will get synced down into your synced catalogue. You can't stop this - it's by design and lets you seemlessly get new mobile photos into the catalogue.
You can only sync a single catalogue, and you'll tie yourself in knots trying to share collections from more than one. I'm not sure which catalogue you've synced, but it'll all work smoothly if you use a single catalogue for all your pictures.
