I don't have it, but if you have obtained the Lightroom plug-in I would assume that you would install it using the Lightroom plug-in manager that is accessible through the File menu on Windows or the Lightroom menu on the Mac.
Problem is - how to find plug-in for LR Classic CC. I did find plug-in for mobile LR - only.
Don't know anything at all about the plug-in. Whatever is available is on the link that John provided. Maybe the only plug-in available IS for the mobile. You'll have to search their website. Did you see this link on that webpage? I didn't follow it, but it seems to suggest a plug-in for Lightroom.
The plugin on that page is for LR 7 (Classic). Click Download, then in Finder / Explorer double-click the downloaded .zip to get "YouPicExport.lrplugin". Follow the directions here for installing the plugin in LR: Export presets, settings, and plug-ins in Lightroom Classic CC .
Nice of YouPic to provide helpful instructions for its users -- must be a sign of their commitment to Quality.
It is what I did. I got YouPickExport.lrplugin. (there are 6 files with lua extension.)
Using Lightroom Plug-in Manager I add this plug-in.
From now on I have YouPic listed in LR Plug-In Manager with green "light" and info "Installed and running".
But - YouPic is not listed in Publish Services in Library module.
I did try to restart LR but with no luck.
What I have to do next?
Thx a lot in advance.
I don't have the plug-in installed, and don't intend on installing it. Is it listed on the export panel? Are there instructions for running it on the provider's website?
Is it listed on the export panel?
The minimal instructions indicate it's an export plugin, not a publish plugin, which means there's no connection established between the pics in the LR catalog and the exported pics on Youpic:
Once installed, select the images you would like to export and click the Export button. You should now have the option YouPic in the Export to drop-down menu.
(Seems a little strange this is on their "mobile" page.)
Here's what the Export window looks like:
I did find it. Fantastic. I wasn't expect to find this in here.
Thank you so much.
The Export Plugin works reasonably well. However, it does not save the Category and Region info between exports. Are there anyway to fix this?
