Hi guys,

"Disk not Ejected Properly" - while I'm working in LR and not touching or moving anything.

I've been getting that message regularly in the past week. Immediately followed by "LR encountered an error while reading a catalog file and needs to quit". Sometimes when I re-open, the same things happens over and over again. One thing I'm sure of is that so long as LR is open it will happen; it's just a matter of time.

I have the latest Catalina OS.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

It turns out from people I spoke with that it's either the connecting USB cable or the drive itself.

Which makes sense. I'll contact Western Digital. The warranty on the drive runs till '20.

So yes, it's the drive. Western Digital is sending me a new one.

Thank you David for putting your finger on it.
