Ctrl-Z ought to work.
Or you could find the photo in a recent backup of your catalog file, and then select it, then File->Export as Catalog, open your current catalog (not the backup) and then File->Import from Another Catalog.

Removed? or Deleted? LrC would ask you if you want to just remove it from the catalog or actually delete it from the computer. Very big difference.
