Radial Filter Pin Off Canvas, Not Selectable

I discovered that when a radial filter selection

pin is pushed/dropped outside the lightroom canvas you can no longer select and edit the filter.  The only option is to reset and start over applying your adjustments.

I discovered this while working with some "lightleak" presets that just add colored radial filters to create the "leaks" look.  While trying to make adjustments I was unable to select one out of 3 rfs (radial filters).  I confirmed it was a rf by turning off/on the filter.  The one filter was not selectable, but the effect was visible.

In trying to reproduce this I created a rf and then pushed the pin beyond the canvas and then let go.  Once you deselect the rf button (Shift+M) and the outlines of the filter go away, that's it, no way to select it.  See screenshots below.

So, is this a glitch, or have a missed something?

I tried dragging a radial filter off the canvas and couldn't do it. There was always a tiny sliver of the radial filter remaining in view, and if you put the mouse in the area the cursor changes to a radial filter cursor so you can resize and drag. If you can't see it, you might want to try F7 or F8 to get rid of the side panels, that helps.

To select that pin, Zoom out, 1:8, perhaps 1:16

Been their, done that.

You may have started placing the adjustment brush near and edge of the frame, did not let mouse button go, dragged out, then let go, boom, pin outside of frame, some of us do that on purpose.

While it is not so useful to  place the pin outside the frame for the radial brush, it is very useful to do that for the gradient. Start upper right corner, drag out of frame diagonaly on purpose. let go, instant solid mask. full frame

Yeah, I thought about that after I saw the image was just a link.

OK, so yeah, zooming way out did the trick, not convenient but if I have the issue in another preset I'll know what's going on.

Thanks.
