I am used to collect metadata from my files trouh 'read metadata from file'.
When I select 1 file, it works.
When I select a batch, it doesn't work anymore since the 9.3 update. I have to read the data file after file. Very annoing. What has adobe changed in their code?!

The upgrade process may well have damaged the Lightroom preference file. Try resetting it as described in Method 1 at this link https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/setting-preferences-lightroom.html

It works for me in Lightroom Classic 9.3, Windows 10. In Lightroom Classic, make sure Metadata->Show Metadata for Target Photo Only is unchecked.
