Recent Edits not syncing from Lightroom Classic to LrMobile

I edited some photos yesterday in Lightroom Classic, and these instantly showed in LrMobile (still as RAW). I then shared them to my iPad Camera Roll.

I've edited some photos this mornig in Lightroom Classic, and none of these aren showing in LrMobile at all (never mind in just recent edits).

Any suggestions?

Did you remember to add them to a synced collection? Lightroom Classic only uploads selected images, not all images.

Hi Johan

I’ve been using both Classic and Mobile for about 6 weeks. Up until today,
anything I’ve edited in Classic has appeared in Recent Edits in Mobile
automatically.

Until yesterday I was uploading photos to Mobile and then they synced
automatically with Classic. I’d then edit in Classic and pick up the edited
photos in Recent Edits in Mobile.

Yesterday was the first time I uploaded my photos via a cable connection to
my camera through EOS Utility to my PC. I then imported into Classic,
edited and could see them in Recent Edits on the Mobile.

The difference today was I used an SD card reader, from which I imported
directly into Classic. That worked fine, I edited fine, but can’t see
either today’s imported photos or just the ones I edited in Mobile.

Would appreciate any further thoughts.

That explains everything and is as expected. You need to understand how this works. Every image you upload to the cloud via Lightroom desktop or Lightroom Mobile is uploaded as original, and synced down into Lightroom Classic. No exceptions. Images that are imported directly into Lightrom Classic are not uploaded to the cloud however. Lightroom Classic stores images locally. You can sync a smart preview of an image from Lightroom Classic to the cloud, but that is something you have to actively do yourself by adding that image to a synced collection. You cannot sync the original from Lightroom Classic to the cloud.

Many thanks for all of your help. Got it now, I made a Collection for
yesterday’s photos in Classic, and they’ve synced fine with Mobile.
