Ok I have searched and I cant seem to find an answer. I am hoping that someone can help me or direct me to the right path. I shoot with a 5d mark3,I have been trying but it seems that my star rated images from the camera are not retaining their rating when imported to lightroom.
Using the latest. version as of today 8.3. Thank you in advance
It should work, but make sure you down load the files from the card slot you used for rating in-camera (CF or SD card). The ratings are only applied to the card you used for reviewing the image files. Also make sure you are NOT applying a Metadata preset on Import that may over-ride the star ratings applied in-camera.
For example this Import preset will over-write the camera rating with no Star rating (0 Stars).

Additional informations like picture styles, ratings etc. doesn't import in Lightroom.
This is related for all camera manufactures.

Please upoad one of the raw files with the issue to Dropbox or other file sharing site and paste the share link in a reply here. I'll take a look at it on my system.
