Smart Collections and Lightroom mobile

Its now mid-2019 and we still cannot sync smart collections with LR mobile. IMHO, smart collections and mobile sync are two of the best features in Lightroom. When can we expect this feature? [I hope the answer is not never]

Adobe product developers won't see your feedback here. Please add your constructive opinion and feedback to this feature request in the official Adobe feedback forum, where Adobe wants all bug reports and feature requests: Lightroom: Ability to sync Smart Collections/Albums (Lightroom CC / Mobile / lightroom.adobe.com) | ... Be sure to click Vote and Follow in the upper-right corner. They do pay attention to that forum.

Syncing smart collections is by far the most popular feature request for LR Classic. In the past, Adobe clearly indicated to Victoria Bampton (Lightroom Queen) and others that they had no intention of adding additional features to sync between LR Classic and LR CC. Based on that, and the fact that very little has been added to Library in the past few years, I agree with the sentiment expressed by others that it's not likely Adobe will change their mind. 

However, I've noticed that two different recent product surveys I received in the past six months asked questions about LR Classic sync with LR CC. So maybe Adobe is reconsidering (one can always hope).  So it's important to vote on the feature request and provide a constructive explanation of why you want it.

Meanwhile, there are two plugins that provide sync of smart collections: Any Source and Smart-Collection Sync. They're not nearly as convenient as having the sync built-in, but they get the job done.

Uninstall the entire Adobe package.

Install Creative cloud and programs.

You will see the option to import: "Sync with Lightroom"

Helpful @rafalanyzek , but this is to create a "Standard" Collection that can always be synced.

The question in this thread was for "Smart" Collections that currently cannot be synced.

The current work-around can be in the answer by John Ellis Post#4, or Copy the photos from a Smart Collection & Paste to a Standard Collection that will sync.
