Sorting Lightroom Classic folders by date created

In the Lightroom Classic library view, how can we sort folder names by date created? We only see them listed in alphabetical order.

There is no such option to sort folders into some non-alphabetical order.

If you are using folder names by date created, and the format is not some variation of YYMMDD, where year comes first and then month NUMBER next and then day number, then I'm afraid you won't get them to sort properly. April comes before January alphabetically.

you can always use the filter bar to find photos by capture date, regardless of the ordering or naming of your folders; the filter bar always shows the capture dates in chronological order.
