Trouble importing in LR Classic

The last few times I have tried importing photod into Lightroom Classic i get the following message. I have imported countless times using the same camera, lens, memory car combination with succes. The odd thing is that they will import in Lightroom but not Lightroom Classic. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The destination folder is not writeable — Lightroom does not have write permission to that folder.

You have to look at the Destination Folder in the Import dialog box, and change it to someplace else where you do have write permission (in case it got changed accidentally from where you used to import to). Please don't come back and say "I didn't change anything", as clearly something has changed.

Which operating system are you using? Looks like Windows from your screen shot .  .  .

You are importing with the copy method, probably from a memory card. Have you specified a folder for the location of the copied photos? You do not have permission for that folder. By default your photos copy to the Picture folder. 
You could manually copy your photos from the memory card to the hard drive first, then import them from that location using the Add method.
