OS means operating system. Mac or Windows.

What exactly do you mean by "download"?

What are you trying to do when the error message appears?

Also, please quote the error message in full, or post a screenshot.

This means that you do not have write permission for the folder you're importing to.

Not a Mac user, but I believe permissions are set by right clicking the folder and choosing Get Info in the Finder.

You can also google "change permissions mac".

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
