Unable to open catalog

HELP!!!

for some reason when opening Lightroom it says "The Lightroom catalog cannot be opened because another application already has it opened". What does that mean? I never opened my catalog on another computer. Please help. I need my photos and I need to work /:

In your operating system, go to the folder where you catalog is located. There is a file whose name ends with .LOCK. Delete the file whose named ends with .LOCK. DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING ELSE.
