I'm using a Smart Collection to find images that do not have GPS info in my library. This collection is finding 3 images. When in the Map module, I select all the images in the filmstrip. (Ctrl-A, but have also used Edit->Select All).
I have a Saved Location defined. If I drag it to the filmstrip it does not update the 3 images with the GPS location. If I drag those three selected images up to the Saved Location it also doesn't update them.
If I do either kind of drag with only 1 image selected, it works. What am I missing?
Does multiple selection only work if the images were acquired from a Filter and not via a Smart Collection????

When I try that in my LR 10.2 / Windows 10, it works correctly (both by dragging the filmstrip photos to the saved location and the saved location to the photos). After dragging, the photos disappear from the filmstrip (because they no longer match the smart collection).
Some thoughts:
1. Double-check you're dragging the photos by clicking on a photo proper and not its grey frame. Every now and then I forget and try dragging from the grey frame, and I'm temporarily stumped that I can't drag (e.g. to dragging to a collection).
2. Try resetting LR's preferences:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/articles-page/how-do-i-reset-lightrooms-preferences/
LR sometimes soils its preferences file, and resetting it can fix all sorts of wonky behavior. That article explains how to restore the old preferences if resetting doesn't help.
3. Please do the menu command Help > System Info and copy/paste the first 10 lines here.

"I was probably dragging the Saved Location on the gray area instead of onto the image."
I make that mistake at least a couple times a year. It's a trivial misfeature in the user interface that Adobe hasn't bothered to fix, but it must waste tons of hours of users' time every year.
