Updates broken for Lightroom 6 in macOS 10.15 Catalina

After updating my Mac to Catalina, Adobe updates no longer work at all. If I go into Lightroom and pick Help > Updates from the menu, nothing happens anymore. Is this to be expected since Lightroom 6 is several versions old? Or should the updater still open at least?

Adobe no longer provides updates for v6. (yes, it is 'old')

The 32bit installer for v6 also will not work in Catalina, so you could not install anyway!
