Updating lightroom

I have Lightroom 6.10.1 and I can't seem to update it.  Is it possible to get updates?  If not, and I have to purchase a new version of Lightroom what happens to everything I imported and stored in the old version?

The last version was 6.14. That is only an update that added a few cameras and lenses, nothing more. If you want to use the newer features, you will have to upgrade to Lightroom Classic. Lightroom Classic will open your old catalog, upgrade a copy of it, and you're done. Everything will still be there.

What is your operating system?

If it is not Catalina on Mac, then you should be able to update to 6.14, which is now 3 years old, and so I agree with Johan (and highly recommend) that you upgrade to Lightroom Classic (which does cost money), which has so many new features that it is definitely worth it, in my opinion.

If it is Catalina on Mac, you cannot update to 6.14. Your only choice is to stay at 6.10.1, or subscribe to Lightroom Classic.

Also, there was no 6.11.
