Uploading Images to LR

Ever since I did the new up dates last week, I can no longer upload images to LR.  I can place my SD card in and it registers it.  However it nolonger recognises my external hard drive.

I have - uninstalled and reinstalled LR, Uninstalled computer drives and reinstalled computer drives, tried other external hard drives, checked for viruses and other updates.

This is day 3 and I am exhuasted.  Please help.  Thanks heaps - from a mother of 3, in Lock Down In NZ
All I want to do is take photos again....spent the day in bed away from my family to try and solve the issue.

(a) Updated Lightroom Classic

or

(b) Updated Windows

Are you trying to access that SD card via:

(a) inserting it into a SD card reader

(b) leaving it in the camera, connect via USB

(c) Leaving it in the camera, connect vis WiFi

In the case of (a) in import, are you looking for it in import/source/files  (not in devices)

In the case of (b) or (c), in import/source/devices

Oh, and in destination, on the right, a proper destination selected? (that is an odd gotcha)

Aggg... should have first pointed out

 I can no longer upload images to LR

And asked Lightroom, or Lightroom Classic, the word "upload" is very non Classic
