Using Lightroom Classic without Internet Connection

I noticed in the most recent updated of Lightroom Classic (v9.3) if my computer is not connected to the Internet, I cannot launch Lightroom Classic or Photoshop (latest release).

Is there any way around this?  In previous versions you could go at least a few days without having to connect to the Internet, but it seems like the latest version of LR Classic and PS at least required you to have a connection to launch the program.  This is particularly a problem for those who may be in areas where Interent is not avaialble.

This isn't a problem necessarily, but more of an inconvenience for users.  Make it so you can at least use it for a few days without an Internet connection please.

Adobe's policy is to allow Creative Cloud apps to run for month-to-month subscribers up to two months without an Internet connection (one calendar month + 30 day grace period) or, for annaul subscribers, up to four months (one calendar month + 99 days):

I just tested my LR 9.3 with no network connection, and it started correctly.  So apparently something isn't working right with your configuration.

The trick to using the grace period is to never log out of the Adobe apps. Logging out disables the activations. All the apps understand that internet connections can be transient and gracefully handle the failed connections while still logged in.

The key is your copy of Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App (ACCDA)

That little app running in the background.

It is used to:

• Install the various applications like PS, LR, LrC, etc
• Authenticate your subscription allowing use of those applications
• Activating those applications on your computer
• Updating/Upgrading those applications installed on your computer
• Deactivating those applications
• Uninstalling those applications (will, one way to do that)
• Occasionally, verify your subscription status.

Now thing is, when you bring ACCDA up and Sign In, the applications get activated. When you sign out, the applications get deactivated

So, if you sign out, the applications will not work.

So, do not sign out

If you are signed in, then you loose Internet access, for example on the road. No issue, the applications will still run, they have not been deactivated.

Mind you, if you are without Internet long enough, then ACCDA will not be able to verify your authentication, About once every 90 days

Incidentaly, one reason to sign out of ACCDA, is to attemt to remidy accredidation issues, sign out, then sign in, rare.
