Wacom Pen Problem in LR

Lightroom Classic (latest version):  I'm using Windows PC and a laptop PC.  Both running Windows 10.  I have two new  Wacom tablets, Intuos 'M' and Intuos 'Small'.  On both PCs the pen works for a while then quite randomly ceases to apply proper pressure.  Most notably in 'Develop' the right and left vertical 'sliders' suddenly work in reverse - moving pen up on the tablet, the slider goes down.  Also loss of Adjustment Brush pressure and other oddities. Using a mouse to overcome the glitch usually restores the pen function, as does going to Photoshop and then back to LR.  It's as if a cache or a buffer clears.  The Wacoms work OK with Photoshop. The fault is intermittent but persistent and can occur within a few moments, after several brush strokes or during other routine functions.  I've tried un-ticking 'Windows Ink' (in Wacom properties > mapping) but this results in no pen pressure and so not a cure at all.

I've spoken with Wacom several times.  They were helpful and suggested I reset LR Preferences.  I did this but no improvement.  The consultant at Wacom opened LR and soon experienced precisely the same fault.  As the pen works in normally Photoshop Wacom do not feel responsible and say it's an Adobe LR issue.

I've experienced the fault since May 2018. Does anyone have any fix for this very annoying problem?

Hi Crhfoto,

As the pen pressure is not working as expected in Lightroom Classic CC, could you please try turning off the Graphics processor from the Lightroom preferences? Go to Lightroom > Preferences > Performance tab > Uncheck GPU > Restart Lightroom.

Hello Sahil,

Many thanks, I tried your helpful suggestion.  However the fault returned after about ten minutes use of an Adjustment Brush.  When I came to move the right-hand pane slider down, it went up.

excelant, common issue is when a member states latest version, often that is untrue. But in your case, yep, you do in fact have the latest version.

and we are in fact talking about Lightroom Classic cc.

DirectX in use check (OpenGl would be bad)

GPU driver, is that one out of date, check at NVIDIA. Looks to be a year old.

none of the plug-ins scream out as an issue

Probably get your updates, but this are not so bad to cause your issues???

This might not be an Adobe issue, It might be a Windows OS issue.

Hello David,

I too wonder about this considering the problem isn't simply on my one PC.  It's also on the laptop and even the Wacom consultant discovered the problem when using an entirely different set up.  When I spoke with Adobe they said it was a Wacom problem, Wacom say it's an Adobe problem, then Adobe say it's a Windows problem.  As you can appreciate, it's all rather baffling. How we progress from here is a bit of a query. 

In the meantime I'll speak to my computer supplier about the questions you raise, though I'm somewhat doubtful the answer lies within my system.  It all feels like a design fault somewhere.  The odd thing is that it only affects LR, it's intermittent and can be temporarily cleared by using the mouse or swapping to Photoshop and back.
