All of a sudden my Date, Camera Settings, ISO have disappeared in the gallery.  Each photo now has a large faint number on each picture.  How do I set it back to the way it was?  Thanks

Lightroom has had these shortcuts for as long as I can remember.

So I think you must have inadvertently pressed the J key.

Thanks for the good advise - so helpful!  Not sure why they decide to change it and then I have to hunt down how to change it back to what I wanted.  Thanks again!
