P: Lightroom installing failure on Mac OS Ventura (NL & PO Languages)

I just tried til help a friend with installing Lightroom on Mac OS Ventura. Creative Cloud was installed, and I used the button Install on Lightroom in the Creative Cloud app. The installation was performed, and reported Completed. Lightroom button changed to Open.
Clicked on Open, but nothing happened.
Wide search in Finder for the Lightroom app file, but it was not found on the entire disk.
Edit: As Lightroom is tested compatible with Ventura, this is probably related to the installer app or lack of priveleges. See my comment below.

While we investigate you can attempt the following workaround:

Change the language of your Creative Cloud Desktop App to English

Install Lightroom Desktop 6.1

Revert to your Native Language

The Creative Cloud Desktop team has identified the issue and logged a bug for a fix in an upcoming release.

I changed the language, but no result.

I don't get the possibility to download the desktop version of lightroom. 😞

@Rikk Flohr: Photography maybe you can help me?
I tried changing language, I tried to reset CC desktop.
I checked my system, I uninstalled and re-installed all apps, but I can not install Lightroom desktop version.

I have the right subscription as you can see here:

I'm using Lightroom Classic daily, but recently wanted to try the new lightroom on desktop since i'm allready using it on my phone and wants to share presets to my phone.

I've restarted the computer, logged in and out of the CC app. Uninstalled Lightroom and installed it again.

When pressing "open" in the CC app, nothing happens.

OK, so what happens if you try to launch it from your Applications folder? Double-click on the highlighted item in this screenshot:

Does it start that way?

Hi, the app doesn't show up in the applications folder. I've tried uninstalling and installing with the CC app but it never shows up in the application folder either.

OK, that's the latest version, so no issue there.

Maybe it would be worth uninstalling and reinstalling the CC app itself. That's all I've got left to suggest, unless someone else has a better idea.

In which language are you using Adobe products?  If other than English, there is a current bug that causes issues in Polish and Dutch that causes the symptoms you describe. It is possible the issue exists for your language as well.

As a workaround, can you set your Adobe products to English and reattempt install?  After the install, you can set your language back to native. (Norwegian?)

Installation time from 1% to 99% in one sec means that nothing was installed. Adobe has identified the issue, and will solve it in an upcoming release. I did a test a few weeks ago, and found that the issue may be related to the chosen language. I updated the CC-app, changed language to English, and installed Lightroom 6 desktop without errors. Just a tip.

This is happening to me. Uninstalled lightroom, as it wouldn't open. Now it doesn't appear in creative cloud app at all, searching only brings up the mobile "send link"

Hi @Sara28836559cyiw

Thanks for reaching out.

Which version of Lightroom are you using? From where have you downloaded the software?

Just for confirmation, you get this error message when you try to open a file; am I correct?

Are you using Lightroom Classic? If yes, you can try these steps: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/quick-tips-how-to-give-full-disk-access....

Let us know how it goes,

Best

It is likely you are hitting this bug: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-ecosystem-cloud-based-bugs/p-lightroom-installing-failure-o...
Temporarily set your language to English and install - then revert your language.

Just got my new Mac Mini M2 - Creative cloud gets installed, Lightroom appears to be installed, but no files installed and when I try to open from Creative Cloud, nothing happens.

I have completely removed CC, reinstalled several times, no luck. LR starts at 99% and done.

Running latest version of Ventura. (I have talked to another that had the same issue on a different version of MacOS and computer, but could not point me in the same direction)

Any Ideas?

SOLVED! I changed my preferred language to English (International) under CC preferences, and now installed fine!
