P: Lightroom no longer imports photos to tablet Blue screen at import

Community Beginner ,
Jun 13, 2025 Jun 13, 2025

I have a canon R6 camera. I import my photos to a Galaxy S8+ tablet directly into lightroom. For some reason when I try to import the photos as of this week I just get a blue screen with " Lightroom import" written on it. I have tried reloading the app but still get same problem, also changed the SD card with no changeI. I can download photos to web version and add them to lightroom that way but that's not usually practical. Has anyone any ideas how to fix this.

When i search yhe browser to add them into lightroom the RAW files are grayed out so no way to get the RAW files any more on my phone nore tablet (samsung S20 plus and Samsung galaxy tab S9 plus)

Also I find it extremely bad that this is already going on for almost a week while some pay to use the app and at the same time there are people out there that have to use it ao they can edit for paid shoots etc. It is unacceptable that it is almost a week without any update or solutions.

Any news about progress in fixing this issue. Since it worked before the upgrade one would think solving it would be easy.

Same issue.  S22 Ultra using ver 10.4.1

This is very disruptive to every photographer who depends on lightroom mobile for their workflow.

This response tells us nothing new. Really disappointed with Adobe for letting this fault continue.

This issue has been going on for too long now, it is the key option for many users like me. This should have been addressed and fixed straight after it was exposed following the update which made the LR import unusable.

Please refund me for the time I'm not able to use the import function. Apart from that is there any user who has found any program that is able to do the same as lightroom more or less and with better support?

(was very happy with Adobe, but this is unacceptable)

Agreed, this is unacceptable. My fear is that it will drag on for weeks and be bundled into vague "bug fixes and performance improvements" in the next update. That could be weeks away .

A short term fix to browse and transfer images wirelessly for me, is by using the native Fujifilm X App. This gets images onto my tablet which Lightroom mobile can then import. Most camera brands have such an app.

Really hoping Adobe fix this ASAP but I'm not optimistic. If we keep this thread alive and upvote responses,at least they can see how unhappy we are.

Hi everyone, I'm having the same issue, but it's like to add that I'm using a Canon R50 with it latest firmware on a Samsung tab S9 Android 15, and got the same blue screen.

Tried different USB cables too.

Also tried with a card reader directly, and copying the files to the internal storage and .CR3 files are not shown too using the gallery browser. I hope this info helps to find a solution.

Found a solution for our androids!

This involves uninstalling the latest version and downloading an official mirror of the last known working version (10.3.1) from Uptodown. Cloud backup would be required beforehand to restore all your images and disabling automatic updates till a newer version is published by adobe.

unfortunately for some reason this does not work for me. When i have the lightroom installes through up to down i cannot open it because it says i have to download it through the playstore to open it.

@Radeba sounds like the uptodown version has a soft region lock. Quick search online shows some users are able to bypass that issue by going to Settings → Apps → Google Play Store → three dots on top right → uninstall updates. Not a permanent solution and would have to be done every time Google Play Store updates itself.

If only adobe would address this issue with an update more quickly.
