P: LrM Android Named Versions synced from desktop don't appear as edited

New Here ,
Jun 19, 2025 Jun 19, 2025

Hello,

I am also facing an issue for some time now and I would like to report it.

I edit all my photos on the Lightroom desktop aplication and sometimes I like to check how they look on the Lightroom mobile app on my android phone.

If I edit a photo on my desktop and create multiple edited versions, I can see all of the different versions correctely named on the android app. However, when I click in any of these versions on the android app the photo actually reverts back to the original unedited version. Even the preview for each version shows the original unedited photo.

I have tried to reinstall the android app and had no luck. If you could solve this would really appreciate it.  I have been facing this issue for more than a month now and it is becoming unconvenient.

Thanks!

Hi @Anubis_masterofdeath9394

Sorry to hear you're running into this issue—it definitely sounds frustrating. To help us troubleshoot more effectively, could you please clarify a few things:

  • Which version of Lightroom are you using?

  • Do you see any sync errors or missing file warnings?

  • When did this issue start happening? Were there any recent updates to Lightroom or your operating system around that time?

Once we have this information, we can guide you toward the most relevant solutions.

Regards,

Srishti

What is weird is that the preview for each version shows the correct image, but once I click it I can only see the original version... I have tried to reinstall the android app and had no luck. If you could solve this would really appreciate it.

Hi @msluisaabreu,

Thanks for sharing the details. That definitely sounds frustrating, and we want to investigate.

Could you please share the following so we can investigate further with the product team?
 • A short screen recording showing the issue
 • Your phone model
 • Android version
 • Lightroom app version you’re currently using

This will help us better understand what’s happening and work toward a solution.

Appreciate your patience,
Anshul

Hello, the app version is currently v10.4.2.

I don't see any sync errors or missing files. However, it continues to happen that files with different versions are displayed on my phone as if they were the same, even in the thumbnails, and when using the tablet, it works as it should.

Also, to answer your question, the error began occurring at least in early June, but I couldn't be completely precise with the date. Thank you.

Hey, @Luísa33860930rutm. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Please share more details, such as the exact version of Lightroom, mobile mode, and OS details, screenshots, and video recordings of what you see. Also, make some obvious/extreme edits (+/- 100) and verify this further. Also, some HDR edits may not appear equally on unsupported Android devices.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hey, @Anubis_masterofdeath9394 & @msluisaabreu. We're sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

If you still see this behavior, sign in to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/46uNTUr) and check how the image appears on the Web. What is uploaded on the web should be available on all other Lightroom Surfaces. If the Web and Lightroom Mobile, or desktop, don't match up, it could be possible that edits from one of the devices have yet to complete syncing.

Also, an image having several masks can take slightly more time to sync up.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi @Sameer K, I have checked and the images on the Lightroom Web macthes the editiing done on the desktop app. However, I still can't see that on my android app. The android app says everything is synchronized, but I keep having the same problem of not being able to see the correct edition for each named version.
