Hi all,

I was hoping the most recent update (9.0.1) would fix, but it appears the bug still persists. If you take a raw photo in the lightroom app using the iphone pro max telephoto (5x) you can see issues with what appears to be shutter sync. It is especially apparent if you take a flash photo, as you often get a black bar or no readout all together.

Hello @jkz-

What is your iOS version now?  Is it 17.4 or newer?  Apple may have fixed the issue with that release.  We are confirming.

The LR iOS team has confirmed the fix in-house and also with users.

Hello @hellsdays

Thanks for taking the time to post about this, and providing details you like did.  We will try to validate this issue in-house for a bug report.

Question: does this happen with all lenses?  Or perhaps just the 5X lens?

Hey @Charlie.D thank you for the quick response. As far as I can tell, this happens only with 5X lens.

To help us track this on our side, I'm going to merge your post with an existing thread going that relates to the iPhone 15 5X lens.  We've reported a bug to Apple and are awaiting a fix in iOS for this issue.  We currently no ETA for the fix, but will follow up in the thread when we know more.

Just noticed this today as well, glad to know it's a software issue and not a hardware issue and that I'm not the only having this problem.  That said, I don't have anything to add except that my experience is another data point.

It appears that the latest version of IOS 17.2.1 fixes the problem.

I still see the issue as well. I am starting to worry it's a hardware issue.

So using the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the 5x lens, shooting raw with a 3rd party app, when you upload the photo to Lightroom, you get a white line down the right side. Its got something to do with the raw engine or how its being processed. Opening the photo in Darkroom, stock gallery app, or Google Photos, doesnt do it. Pro raw files are fine. its just bayer raw.

Tested this with 5 other people, 4 different raw shooting apps. And you can really notice it by increasing the dehaze sliders.  This is a really big issue for folks who shoot raw with 3rd party apps.
