Adding a border in LR for ipad

Hi,

When I select the option to save (share) a raw to jpeg with a border added (even a very narrow one), the dimensions in pixels of the saved jpeg is considerably reduced. When I save without adding a border the pixels remain the same.

Appreciate the border could take up a number of pixels, but surely not by over 50% as is the case?

Thanks for any help or advise,

Glyn.

Seems like sharing with a border always shares at a certain size. So if you start with an image that is about that same size (around 2000 pixels wide), then the image with the border can actually be larger than the original. But if the original is much larger than 2000 pixels wide, then the image with the border can indeed be much smaller. This is probably 'as designed', but I have no idea why it was designed that way.

Thank you for your reply. It’s a pity, as adding a border at full
resolution would have been useful for printing.
Thanks again,
Glyn
