Adobe Lightroom won't start

Hi, 

I have just installed Lightroom on my macbook pro and every time I try to start it I get an error saying 'Adobe Lightroom quit unexpectadly' and will not start.

Is there a work around for this?

Please include the following in your question:
Adobe product and Version number

A Screenshot of the info panel from MENU: Help/System Info... (If it could start!)
Computer Operating system and OS Version number
Screen-clip of the full text of any Error Message(s)
